Composition and Members 2009/2010

The categories of members that make up the Coleg Menai Corporation are as follows:

• Business members (7) - those who are, or have been engaged or employed in business, industry or a profession or in any field of employment relevant to the activities of the institution
• Co-opted members (3) - those co-opted by the members of the board.  This facilitates the appointment of members who can bring particular experience, skills, knowledge, etc. to the board
• Staff members (2) - members of staff of the college nominated and elected by the staff of the institution
• Student member (1) - students of the institution nominated and elected by students of the college or by a recognised association representing the students of the institution
• Local Authority members (2) - members nominated by such local authorities as the board may nominate
• Local Community members (3) - those nominated by a body or bodies within the local community nominated by the other members of the board
• Principal (1) - the Principal of the college (unless he/she chooses not to be a member)
