How to apply

Please note that courses start in September each year, with the exception of English courses that offer flexible start dates (subject to availability on courses).

Select the course you wish to apply for from the course information on the website.

Complete the International Application Form and attach English translations of the certificates you hold and copy of your passport and send by e-mail to international@menai.ac.uk or fax to +44 (0)1248 370125

If you have taken an IELTS or TOEFL test please include a copy of your results.

Advice and Guidance

If you require guidance on which course to apply for, indicate on the application form the degree course you would like to study or career you are planning for the future.  We will then suggest the course best suited to your qualifications.

At this stage please look at www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/studyintheuk for the current information on applying for a Tier 4 Student Visa.

The Application Process

When we have received your application form we will check your qualifications against the NARIC database and assess your English Level, to assess your suitability for the course.
You will then receive:-

  • Offer letter – Indicating the course, cost of course and start and end dates.
  • Acceptance form
  • Request for payment of £1,000 deposit, with details of how this deposit can be paid
  • General information regarding accommodation if required by you.

Confirmation of acceptance for studies (CAS) or VISA letter

When we have received your Acceptance Form and Deposit we will issue the CAS or Visa letter to enable you to apply for your visa.

The CAS will show which course you will study, start and end dates, deposit paid and fees outstanding.

Evidence of financial support

When you make your visa application, please ensure that you have sufficient funds in place to pay your fees and maintenance.  This needs to be deposited in your bank account at least 28 days before your apply for your visa.

Living costs

As a guide, when applying for a visa, the UK Border Agency states that students need approximately £600 per month (£5,400) to cover living costs for the first 9 months of their course, for accommodation, food, and associated living costs.

Tuition fees

The balance of your Tuition fees will be paid at enrolment, or as soon after subject to you opening a UK Bank Account.
